I'm Ian and welcome to The Author Enigma. Join me as I try to crack the code behind becoming a children's fiction author and gain an agent and a publishing deal.

I have been writing for fourteen years and in that time have completed ten manuscripts. I've taken writing courses, joined writing groups, hired Beta readers, scoured online resources, consumed podcasts and blogs and tried countless different approaches when it comes to submitting my work.

I can't teach you how to write and I can't teach you how to get published but I can share a couple of useful tips and highlight a the mistakes I have made over the years so that you can avoid them.
